Terms of Use — Pharmacy Staff

Effective June 25, 2026 — Version 2026-06-25-v1

1. About RxBridge

RxBridge is a pharmacy management platform used by your pharmacy to manage prescriptions, patient communications, and dispensing records. It is a private professional tool and is not operated by or affiliated with the Ontario College of Pharmacists or any government health authority.

2. Your Professional Responsibilities

Your use of RxBridge does not alter your obligations under the Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP) Standards of Practice, the Drug and Pharmacies Regulation Act, or any other applicable legislation. All dispensing decisions, clinical judgments, prescription validation, and regulatory compliance remain the sole responsibility of the pharmacist of record and your pharmacy. RxBridge does not validate prescriptions or guarantee the accuracy of any patient-submitted information.

3. Patient Health Information

You will access patients' personal health information (PHI) through RxBridge. You are responsible for handling all PHI in compliance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), the Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA), and applicable OCP guidelines. PHI must only be accessed for legitimate professional purposes relating to a patient under your pharmacy's care.

4. AI-Assisted Features

RxBridge includes AI-powered features such as clinical snapshots, drug interaction checks, prescription clarification assistance, insurance pre-authorization support, and compounding deviation analysis. These features are decision-support tools only. They do not constitute clinical guidance and must not replace your professional judgment. Always apply your professional training and verify AI-generated outputs before acting on them.

5. Prescription Records

Prescription and dispensing records generated or managed through RxBridge must be retained in accordance with OCP requirements (minimum 10 years). You must not delete or alter records in a way that would conflict with your retention obligations.

6. Account Security and Acceptable Use

You must not share your login credentials with any other person. You must not access patient records without a legitimate professional reason. Accessing records of patients not under your pharmacy's care, using the platform for any purpose other than authorized dispensing and patient care activities, or misusing the messaging or AI features is prohibited and may result in account suspension and reporting to the OCP.

7. Confidentiality

You must maintain the confidentiality of all patient information accessed through RxBridge, both during and after your employment or engagement with your pharmacy. This obligation survives the termination of your access to the platform.

8. Limitation of Liability

RxBridge is provided as a professional tool "as is" without warranties of any kind. The operators of RxBridge shall not be liable for professional errors, dispensing decisions, regulatory non-compliance, or patient harm arising from your use of or reliance on the platform or its AI-assisted features.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
